JVC Laptop drivers. Hi there and welcome to my very simple site which has been recently updated to include drivers for older JVC mini note models too (where I can find them!)

Recently I have had some enquiries about our JVC and Windows Vista, mainly the problems we seem to have getting the audio to work. If anyone has cracked this then could they drop me a line saying how they did it? Thanks.. It's nice to see that - finally - JVC have provided some drivers on their UK website after how many years?? But I'm surprised that not all models are yet covered, perhaps they don't have the drivers either? AT LAST THE HARD DRIVE UPGRADE IS HERE!!!! Finally, after months of putting it off I have bitten the bullet and stripped the little unit down again and photographed / documented the hard drive swap process - see the link on the left, but be warned - it's not easy and you could damage your machine. (In doing this article I buggered my volume control and lost my LAN switch, fortunately both can be operated in the software, but be very careful as some parts on your JVC are very fragile..!) Thanks to Tim Williams for the information regarding his successful 1GB memory upgrade - it appears that the 756MB limit isn't a limit after all.. If you want to have a read then please click the link on the left - (note that any upgrades you attempt like this are done at your own risk!!) Thanks to Graham Frost for providing information, that there is a replaceable internal DVD RW unit from Panasonic that will work with the JVC. The model is a "Panasonic UJ-842 D DVD±RW/DL Vaio HP Dual Multi Burner". They can be readily bought from Ebay. This unit upgrades the Mini Note's original CD RW to full DVD RW capabilities. Graham has also compiled a superb document detailing how to replace the unit - instructions can be found here or on the link bar to the left.. Thanks Graham..! Enjoy... ACPI driver - this controls the buttons and volume e.t.c Wireless LAN driver - very big, please be patient.. SD MMC reader Driver - for the SD card.. Firmware Fix registry entry - not sure what it does but it puts an entry into the registry..! Inf Update software - I have never needed this, but it's here anyway.. |
